Sails Anyway is free to read, and the free guide is free. We keep the lights on in a few ways, and we want you to know every one of them.
Cruise bookings
If you book a cruise through a link on our site, we may earn a commission from the company you book with, such as CruiseDirect. Cruise fares are set by the cruise lines, so you pay the same price you would booking anywhere else.
We are also becoming an independent travel advisor affiliated with a host agency. When that is in place, booking with us directly will come with help we can't give through a link: checking your cabin's walk to the elevator, reviewing your accommodation paperwork, and reminding you before each deadline.

The rules we follow
- We only recommend what we'd use ourselves. If our person hasn't used it, we'll say so.
- Every gear roundup includes at least one "skip this." A commission never decides whether something makes the list.
- No one pays for a good review. If we ever do a paid partnership, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored — at the start, not buried at the end.
- Accessibility claims are never for sale. Whether a port, ship or tour works for a body with limits is based on firsthand experience or a cited source, never on who pays us.
- We disclose links where you see them. On social posts and in emails, the affiliate note goes at the top, not the bottom.
